Sant Prem Singh Ji was born in 1889 in village Kheri Duna Singh now is District Gujarat (Pakistan). He was a great saint, philanthropist and a social worker. In 1908 Sant Prem Singh Ji was nominated as head of the Dera by Baba Bishan Singh Ji, which has a splendid gurudwara under the guidance of the Sant Prem Singh Ji. The Dera became the centre of Sikh activities. 

The daily programmers of the Dera included the recitation of Aasa Di War and Rehras Sahib by a Ragi Jatha in the presence of sangat. Sant Prem Singh Ji used to do kirtan at both times in the morning and in the evening. On special occasions big Diwans were held. Such functions were attended by Kirtan Jathas, Parcharaks and important leaders. An important Diwan was organized on the 13th, 14th and 15th of Bhadon in the memory of Sant Bishan Singh. Langar was well arranged. Special arrangements were made for Amrit Parchar. The Dera have five persons especially for this task. Dera Murala Sahib played an important role for spreading education, preaching Sikhism and eradication of social evil from lubana community. After the Dera was shifted to Begowal, district Kapurthala (Punjab).
